The 10K5 Soltec Solar Tracker follows the sun from dawn to dusk, thereby achieving maximum solar exposure and maximum returns. The Soltec Solar Trackers have a double-axis, that is, as well as East-West (azimuth), they have an additional movement depending on the elevation of the Sun. This means extra output of up to 40% (depending on the geographical area) compared with fixed systems.
This increase in output means a much more rapidly profitable investment, resulting, of course, in greater financial and environmental benefits.

Thanks to its innovative design, this system allows for greater ventilation between the modules, which in turn generates a cooling effect to help minimise power loss caused by high temperatures.
The structure of the 10K5 means that it is hardly necessary to take pieces apart to carry out maintenance work, thus keeping these costs, and manpower, to a minimum.

The financial advantages should not cause us to lose sight of the environmental benefits these types of trackers provide: the greatest inconvenience of solar panels is that they need several years of electricity production in order to make up for all of the energy used in their manufacturing. However, with the 10K5 Solar Tracker, this time is significantly reduced, thus helping reduce CO2 emissions and comply with the Kyoto Treaty.
The Soltec 10K5 solar trackers have a useable surface area of 75m2 and 10.5 kWp of power, producing a projected annual minimum of more 20,000 kWh, depending on the location (this figure refers to the central-south area of Spain). This holds a great competitive advantage, as what we are really trying to do is maximise profits from our investment in the shortest possible time, and thanks to these results, this is just what happens.
The tracker has 39 Suntech 270 high performance silicone modules connected in parallel-series for the inverter to work correctly.

The 10K5 has been designed and optimised to achieve maximum results. Its highly efficient inverter with three separate entrances (one per row), along with the intensity classified modules, achieve an increase in power which is greater than 5% in comparison with other systems based on conventional trackers.
The 10K5 has a concrete base meaning the tracker can be installed quickly and easily.
Soltec trackers are designed to withstand bad weather and strong winds, as they all have a weather sensor installed to detect climatic changes, including 14 types of precipitation. For example, in the case of hailstones, a signal is automatically emitted which changes all trackers to a vertical position, whilst in heavy rain, this changes to horizontal.

All control and information operations are centralised to a computer with internal network communication, Internet and GSM. In this way, the system operator can visualise and control all systems via remote control. Soltec solar plant clients can obtain system information through the Soltec Web site or even through SMS text messages.

Advantages of the Soltec Tracker
- Extremely robust structure:
Lengthy and exhaustive research by the Engineering team and I+D+i has produced a robust structure capable of resisting the ravages of winds of up to 150 Km/hour, which has been certified by the Metal Technology Centre.
- Separation between modules:
This ensures better ventilation and, as a result, greater output.
- Easy and accessible maintenance.
There is no need to take pieces apart, resulting in lower maintenance costs.
- Minimum land preparation:
The Soltec 10K5 Solar Tracker is installed on a superficial footing which needs barely any excavation alter the land has been cleared. These footings are optimised and take up no more than 7 m3.
- Occupies the minimum of land:
In order to minimise shade, separation between trackers is 25 metres east-west and 23 metres north-south, so a total of 575m2 are needed in between, with shade losses of only 2.5%.
